Dr. John Aguilera is a skilled and experienced cosmetic dentist who has practiced in Orange County for more than 25 years. But Dr. Aguilera considers many factors in creating the perfect smile, including the shape of your face, the color of your teeth, your personal style, and tooth size and proportion. "Form follows function - if it's not going to function it's not going to last,"explains Dr Aguilera. "I believe creating a smile is truly a creative process. If someone has a rounded face, for example, I would want to design long, square shaped teeth to slim the patient's face. Color is important too, and the whitest white is not always the most flattering, I recommend going not more that three shades lighter to achieve a natural effect. The length of the teeth also has a big impact on the appearance of the smile, and since older teeth tend to be shorter, I typically lengthen the front central teeth to give patients a more youthful appearance."
Dr. Aguilera is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco and the prestigious California Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Orange County Dental Academy. In addition, he had studied throughout the country with leaders in the aesthetic dentistry field.
